That said, I am willing to bet $5000 that it would be possible to increase a rating derived by satisfaction sampling of a random audience by more than a factor of 10 by simply recutting the movie and adding new voice overs. Treat it as "eye candy" -- visual art (not always great visual art...) Lucas has become a bad caricature of himself. Seems that his creative staff are using him as inspiration for some of the Star Wars characters. Hasn't anyone noticed the eerie resemblance between George and the flappy-chinned cook in Dex's Diner (Dex?), or with the similarly blubbery Gungan ruler? Watching the supplemental material on one of the prequels, Lucas examines the prototype character models under consideration for the movie, and he really really seems to like the ones with the big blubbery chins.
